Pulau Kapas / Paradise

We haven’t really planned where to go after Singapore. The only fixed point on our agenda was to hang out on a nice beach. The place in Tioman we were thinking of was fully booked so after a tip from a friend, we visited the little island of Kapas in Malaysia.

One thing on the side though: the place we stayed at does not take online reservations or bookings and only has 8 bungalows. Which means you might have to stay at the shitty option next door if they are full (that’s what we did for a night). Anyways: it was worth it.

The boat ride is just a short 10 minutes from the mainland.

One day we visited the neighboring island called Gem. They have a turtle sanctuary. (No, Martin was not getting the ingredients for his next dinner.)

That's the view to Kapas. So you could actually swim over there.

This is a very cute little restaurant called Koko. I was introduce to the best Kerabu salad and winged beans. They also have very slow wi-fi.

On one day, we decided to be less lazy and check out the jungle part of the island. This was Martin still happy before he got stung by a giant branch of thorns.
