today i honestly thought i could ignore the weather forecast and wear my hair loose.
this is what happened

can you find my face behind all that hair? cause i really had problems finding my way

after swimming i decided not to get all destroyed by the wind again. that´s why i went for this hairdo:

some people gave me strange looks – but at least i could see them!

vienna is a windy city. i guess we all can agree to that.

yesterday, martin and me had the pleasure to take little bruno for a walk.
he is a black pug and really cute!

i think martin wanted to eat this cute dog sausage

but bruno was faster - kiss attack!

he was more well behaved with me

so i know some people don´t like that day and i personally also find it a bit cheesy and in your face for all the people who are not in a relationship. but
i like flowers, i have to admit that. and today at the office i was awaited by those

tulips, sent to me from my mom

when i saw these i had to grin instantly, also for the fact that i sent tulips to her work as well. so it seems we are related

after a while at the office, a person was delivering another bouquet of flowers.

for me.

i was a little puzzled at first but took them of course. when i opened them it was tulips again.

and guess from whom?

my mom!

i was really puzzled and called her asking if she ordered a little too much and she didn´t know how that happened. i guess the delivery company made a mistake or they just wanted to make the “WOW” effect a little bigger.

anyways: now my office desk looks like that:

amsterdam / a weekend in

so, you know you get a free glass of Champagne at the airport if it is your birthday? we didn´t want to let go of this chance, so we went there. unfortunately you can´t go to this bar without a boarding pass. that´s why we booked a flight to amsterdam to celebrate martin´s birthday! yay!

and here we are, back again to get the free champagne

Déjà-vu anyone?

After the drinking at 5:30 in the morning, the travelling group (a.k.a dierk, martin and me) proceeded to get the plane on time.

i like how the airline names their food.

they also give you tipps, about what´s good and tasty ..

let the fun begin!

upon our arrival it was sunny. we liked that!

the cat in the coffeeshop just woke up from chillin

and so did the boys. hey there!

this houseboat reminded me of some art thing. thought bauhaus at first. but was told it´s piet mondrian.

people were doing ice-skating on the grachts

some of them even used the ice skating shoes for walking it seems ...

in winter, people are switching from bikes to white horses in terms of transport

what to do when in amsterdam? eat fries!

try a weird beer called "cuveé des trolls"

smoke some french fries

and drink some more weird beer for your birthday

all the beer makes you want to pee. heaven thanks, amsterdams streets are prepared for that. and cause i have an old man now, i gotta support his back while doing that.

asian man was fascinated by this thing as well, but too shy to try it

and i am still amazed on how asymetric some (most) houses are

i am also amazed about the steepness of staircases in those houses. imagine to take that one while being drunk!

but we didn´t only have sweets. we also had bagels with mustard, stinky cheese, pecan nuts and gherkins

in the evening, martin and dierk went to see the last SEEIN RED show ever

it was epic, they said

it took me some time to figure out what the dog was carrying in his mouth. at first i thought he vomited.

after a fight, we managed to get him free. we decided to have some food at a really good ethiopian place we´ve been to in 2007.

they have my beloved mongozo beer there

already loved it back then

not only the drinks, but also the food is

divine!

and what would be amsterdam without bicycles? correct! not the same...

it´s been a while since i posted a juice (which by the way doesn´t mean i am not drinking any.. but most of the time it´s juices i already made so they are not worth blogging about twice or three times.

last weekend i made one for my boyfriend and he dared to try an interesting mix:

apples, celery, red beet, red cabbage, ginger and lemon

he said it tasted good, but for me i have to say that this combination is a little hard to drink. i think the red cabbage is something to get used to first.. but it´s a pretty looking one, isn´t it?

so this weekend was rather chill. both weatherlike and mood like mostly.

oh, this was a good breakfast. avocado dip with crisps, fruit, goat cheese with rosehip jam, olives and capers, romanian sheep cheese with herbs, martha´s tartelettes from paris and some grapefruit/lime/ginger juice

after a day of hanging around and chillin, martin and me checked out a thing i didn´t do for quite a while:

ice skating! it´s even more fun with those kiddie penguins!

the fascination of seeing oneself on screen. we should be used to that those days.
